Ebay want front and back of driving license?
 

I have been restricted till I send in a copy of the front and back of my driving license, the front I can understand but why would they want the back?

I thought the back was just generic on the photo driving license? Is there anything unique on the back that I should be aware of for a stealth account and so as to not link accounts?

They do it because they're horrible and mean....

I've had that on a few and I'm a bit stuck with them.

Just an extra step to prevent stealth accounts. Some people get by easily, some get stuck.

But what I'm asking is, is there anything identifiable on the back of uk driving license? It just seems generic to me.

If you get this is it game over if you have used another's address/Slightly different name I.e. Your real name is John David Smith and you have used David Smith on your eBay so you're not linked?

I hate to say this, but PP requested from me both the front and back of a DL a few years ago.

Result = Limitation.

They do love to play their games.....

I wonder if the back of your license was just horribly rugged, beyond recognition, what they would say then?

Maybe even the front.

Maybe you don't even have a driver's license?

What about the numbers/letters on the bottom right corner in the white box? Maybe they check that?

Yes this is what I am on about, I'm just wondering if anyone knows what this code means so I can match it with the front.

Have you already sent them the front before and they then requested the back? Or have you not sent anything to them yet?

On a few accounts in the past, they always mentioned to send scan of both front and back of DL to them in the email, but I always sent the front only. They never requested the back and would reinstate my account.

No not sent anything in before, this is normally the first time they have requested it, ebay seem to ask for front and back but if ppal ask first they only want the front.

So you think I should just send the front even though they ask for both?

From experience, they only care about the front despite what they request in the email. Just sending the front to them should be fine.
