Selling sex toys on ebay UK
 

Hi guys

I'm interested in selling sex toys on ebay as it seems like it could be a potentially profitable niche without too much competition.

I understand that in order to do this I first happy to apply to ebay for approval status for these kind of items (I think it may only be ebay uk that has this restriction)

Does anyone here have experience in this field? If so any advise would be appreciated

Lol thanks for the advise. I don't really want to do it if it's too risky as I don't want to jeopardise my ebay accounts

Maybe I should try and list on Amazon instead

The used returns should be interesting....rubber gloves and a clothes peg for your nose could be handy...

It seems to be a fairly competitive category already, so not sure if there is any more risks than any other product? In fact if you think about it, people would be less likely to complain or return, due to not wanting to explain it...

Just start slow and build feedback.

amazon is a different animal, ebay you can list anything easily and the prices are lower, with az you need to be selling on an existing brand listing or otherwise you brand your own product, get un-gated if needs be and if you can do that, then the sales hopefully will come rolling in, but way more start-up difficulties initially, also reviews are a major plus or minus to sales on az...

You should always have back up accounts in progress anyway.

If you want to sell in this category you'll need to fill out an application form (google should point you in the right direction).

It's the Amazon equivalent of ungating categories.

Will Paypal allow payment for Adult Products? I didn't think they would.

Depends. If its DVDs - potentially copyrighted, so no.

The OP is specifically referring to mature toys, so it should be fine.

P.S. If eBay approve you, and since you are obliged to take PP with eBay UK items, then it's unlikely they'd have issues.
