Hi

I get this after a while of selling on Ebay when trying to relist or edit items. The sim I used to register the account now is dead, and I guess changing the number won't work?

Does this go away after a while? I know that from previous experience that if I send the SMS there is no chance it will go away if I cannot get the code

You can of course update the number on ebay. Just make sure the number is new, never used before to prevent linking.
Changing the number isn't as easily apparent as you'd expect.
You need to go to My eBay > My Account > Addresses > Change registration address > right at the bottom change phone number > submit.

That should then allow you to confirm and proceed with your listing.

Tip - Always keep your number active, you never know when you'll need it.
