Idiot customers are.... idiots

I have a customer kicking up a fuss about an item of clothing I sent her. She complained it had a pocket, and I kindly pointed out that the photos and description say that it's meant to have a pocket. She now wants me to pay for a return saying that I've sent her an inferior item and doesn't match the listing, after speaking to eb.ay they say I'm in the right and she should pay the postage to send it back.

I get the feeling after all the back and forth and eb.ay saying they would side with me when it gets escalated, this thing is probably going to come back soaked in piss or covered in sharpie or something.

Maybe I'm just expecting the worst, but what I can I do if an item comes back damaged like that? I've never had a customer be so full of BS before, really not what I need when its getting busy.

EBay given you wrong information, they always side buyer, return will be accepted and they will issue label to buyer which later they collect money from you.

I see tons of this on my eBay facebook groups. eBay WILL side with the buyer.

I agree with everyone else,,,suck it up pay for the shipping and simply resell the item to avoid taking a total loss.

I find eBay always side with the seller when the seller calls them, and then sides with the buyer when the buyer calls them, but when a case is opened, it's already decided in the buyers favour before you've even argued your case - Some would call it hypocrisy.

Bottom line - just accept return, postage for a piece of clothing shouldn't be more than around £3, you'd recoup most of your fees from transaction being cancelled. Then just resell the item.

Putting aside ethics, and whats right, is it worth making a fuss and wasting your time over a £3 loss? (or thereabouts)

Listen to everyone else - not worth the hassle and the risk to your account. If the seller contacts ebay and claims the item is a '⊗⊗⊗⊗' they WILL side with her and you might end up losing the item, the money AND the account itself.
Cut your losses. Pay for the shipping. Get your item back and move on.

Its that time of year when people do "free shopping" online for Christmas.

I have been getting a huge increase. At least I wish they would come up with better excuses.

Well I'm sorry to let you all down, but eb.ay sided with me. I mean I proceeded on their recommendations and today I got the item back, shipping paid for by the buyer. Lucky for me it came back in perfect condition to sell on again too.

Not sure what's different, but you guys seem to have some really bad experiences with eb.ay itself. The only issues I seem to have with eb.ay is technical ones.

similar happens with me many times... and will tell you that is not because of the pockets. Some of this customers want everything for free and if it's come back damaged, then just do not accept it.

Once i received earrings without on little CZ and i sent it back to customer to repair it. Only in this case i will accept returns.
