EU Limit Reached- Withdrawal Restricted, New Issue?
 

My Paypal account reached the EU limit few days before, and I received the email to confirm identity. However, I was able to withdraw the money till last week but now I’m getting the error that withdrawal is restricted unless I confirm the identity even though the account is not limited and no email received from paypal for withdrawal restriction. Is this a new issue as before I was always able to withdraw money without confirming the id?

It's perfectly normal for the account to become limited once the EU limit is exceeded. You will not be able to withdraw again until the documents requested have been submitted and approved.

The initial notification shows once you pass £1650 in funds received. Once you pass 2500 euro (or whatever the GBP equivalent is) the account basically becomes limited until identity is confirmed.

Thanks for the reply but the issue is that I haven’t passed the 2500 euro limit yet and still the withdrawal got restricted. I've withdrawn money in the past from few accounts after crossing the £1650.

Its not just the value, You only get 30 days to supply the info from the first threshold warning (1650)

You will always be able to withdraw up until the 2500 euro mark (£2200 currently) once you bypass this then the account becomes permanently limited regardless if they send email confirmation. You will need to supply ID at this stage to bypass now...

hi on my paypal account i have hit the first £1650 limit i have uploaded my docs. when i go into the resolution center the status saids "waiting for your response" i click on resolve then its saids i have uploaded everything and to wait 2 to 3 working days for paypal to review them. its the 4th work day now and my account is going to get restricted in 24 days. will paypal review my docs before my account gets restricted ?

The time it takes for PayPal to remove the restrictions on the account varies based on how much you have received in the PayPal account.

Under £1650 - Can take up to a month.
Between £1650 and £2100 - Can take up to 2 weeks.
Over £2100 - Usually 24 hours, but can take up to a week.

It also depends on time of year - peak periods usually take longer. It could take several months during the worst of times. Though in your case I would say it can take a few days to a few weeks.
