Confirmation re tracking numbers

We have just started to use Hermes for some deliveries because of price. We don't intend to link the account directly to stealth eBay as Hermes is in our own details.
Is there a problem with entering the tracking number on the eBay order so the customer gets the details.
Can't think that there would be a problem but just want to check.

it auto recognizes hermes tracking format, and hermes pops up when you paste tracking number in to system.

No, the companies shouldn't be sharing customer details.
