Paypal Limited - 180 days gone
 

So I have a few PayPal accounts that have been limited. The 180 days has now passed for a few of the accounts. PayPal seem to be asking for ID, which I provided. They are claiminging the driving license I provided is ⊗⊗⊗⊗ and that until I provide real ID, they won't release my funds.

Has anyone else had this?

Yes, been a constant concern since late 2015.

Can you supply *cough* correct ID?

Since the person doesn't exist, I don't see how...

They have my driving license and proof of address on file for when the EU money laundering limits kicked in.

The 180 days had gone past and they hadn't released my funds, so I called up and they said the reason they aren't realeasing the funds is because the ID I provided is not genuine

Honestly nothing you can do at all... been there several times. Unless your willing to send in your genuine docs I wouldn’t bother wasting my time. What I have realised over the years, if account does fail because of docs you will need to supply genuine docs for money release...

Have same issue, they rejected my passport, and wants another id, such as birth certificate. Will this helps? Account is stealth, im wondering is this worth, because forge birth certificate not a cheap.

Wouldn’t even bother wasting a minute - they are not going to release funds. I’ve been there starting from ID, then passport and even birth certificate which didn’t come cheap. Everything was always rejected, only way forward is genuine docs which they can verify somehow...

So if the paypal name is say Martin McBride and my name is say Daniel Gray and I send in my legit documents for Daniel Gray then they will release the funds even though the accounts name is Martin McBride? Surely all sorts of flags will be raised?

I guess not ...
Only minor changes can be accepted on holder's name..
This is a brand new name

Actually I guess you could say you legally changed your name BUT then they might ask for documents showing the name change.

If i remember correctly paypal accepts online only minor changes on holders name.
For example from Johny Smith to John Smith.
Or from Mary Black To Maria Black .
If a change like this applied by holder then after 1-2 days paypal will accept it with no questions or anything.
But if you try to change it from PJ Brown to Phillip James Browns then it will ask for documentation .
But I think if you try to change it from john Smith to Jack Black it should be a serious problem ...
How is it possible paypal to accept a change like this ?
So i guess its not possible a totally different name ...
