Changing over computers and to a VPN from iPhone tethering
 

Hi all,

I’ve been successfully running several stealth accounts for 2-3 years, here is my set up:

1 computer user account per stealth account.
Mobile phone tethering, fresh IP each log in and never reuse IPs.

I need to move one stealth account (eBay+PayPal) from the current set up to a different computer and use a VPN via my home broadband instead.

The account is nearly 2 years old, 100% feedback, top rated seller and unbranded low risk items.

I’ve not used a vpn before however it seems straightforward, my main concern is whether to transfer over the old cookies or if it would be ok to start on a fresh user?

why not just use your broadband if this is a dedicated account? Why add the VPN to the mix?

The switch from tethering to a VPN IP shouldn't cause any problems since you've been logging in with a different IP each time already.

The computer switch could be a problem though. If I were doing this I would make sure I have access to the original email + phone number in case you run into any security checks along the way. They may want to send you a verification text. Even when you copy your browser profile/cookies I've heard of this happening. I would guess not 100% of user data is transferred when you switch PC's.

My broadband IP was banned previously

Change it. If you cant do it yourself, call into the provider and tell them you need your box rebooted. Most always that does the trick in the USA anyways.

The problem is several buying accounts are operated using this broadband/IP therefore the stealth account would be linked

I prefer VPN's.

I've been with 3 different ISP's and they all used static IP's. None of them have given me a new IP.

If you have access to all the info (espesh phone number) then it will not be an issue changing user accounts.

I purchased a VPN, got a new user account set up. Went to double check the phone number and it turns out EE have terminated the sim card due to inactivity which is a nightmare.

Where do I go from here?

Can I change the phone number on eBay/Paypal via the current user account and then do the transfer onto the new user account?
