New eb and PP - how much can I sell without being asked for ID?

Can I setup a new account and sell £1000 - say less than 100 items - and NOT be asked for anything?

Hmmm... wow... if it's that easy, I'll do this 1000 times and become a millionaire. LOL.

One of the major legitimate reasons of suspensions are when people go to fast from the get go. You need to nurture new accounts if you want them to survive a suspension, and that means treading on egg shells carefully.

That means you need to sell items which are low risk, i.e. no brands, and also items which are low value, i.e. not worth much.

Here is an example of how you should plan things out:
Week 1 - Sell 1 item (low value, low risk), wait for 1 positive feedback from buyer.
Week 2 - Sell 2 items (again low value, low risk), and wait for positive feedback from buyer(s).
Week 3 - Sell 4 items...
... After you do this for a month, you can start *slowly* selling your own line of items. But remember, selling extremely high value or high risk products can get you suspended.

Each week doubling your item count. Don't try to bypass these rules by putting lots of products into one item, or listing 1 item with multiple quantity - this will more often than not result in a limitation.

To encourage buyers to leave feedback, include a hand written note in the package kindly asking for feedback. You could also include a freebie to make your clients happy. The goal at the beginning isn't to make profit, its just to sell and build feedback.

Example of an item that is okay to sell - Customised mugs, around £5 in value.

Example of an item that is not okay to sell - Brand new iPhone. This will result in a quick suspension.

It is better to start with "used" low risk, low value items. This way you will minimize the risk of PP asking invoices, imo.
As Play said in other thread you can sell new items as "used".

I have always send email to the buyer that inform him item have been sent and kindly ask him to leave feedback after receiving it. Just replying to the email that informs you for payment received from PP.
