Ebay asked me to switch onto business account
 

Hi Guys
Need your help. I have been using stealth account under my friend's name and his address. I have received an email from ebay about switching to business account in 21 days.
I am not sure how to switch to business account as my friend is not registered as a business man or sole trader.
How can i switch to business account?
What information will i give them under business registration?

thats something ive never seen and ive seen alot
i do know when you create a business account they ask for a tax id

Absolutely nothing.

When you switch to a business account all they do is display your friends name and address in all your auctions. You can falsify that information as well until you get caught (or reported by other ebayers).

I've seen auctions where people state things like "THIS IS NOT A RETURN ADDRESS (rather than the full name), 49 Albert Close, London, EE1 1TP" etc etc etc

That's not allowed but I hardly doubt people will report you if your an honest seller, selling legitimate items. Alternatively it may affect your sales as I personally wouldn't trust buying from some one that is hiding details.

Ebay don't ask for any information when switching to a business account.

Thank you guys for your replies.I got my answer now. I will switch it to business account now. I do not have a issue to show my address on ebay.

Unless you are talking about brand new created business accounts in the past two months, this is not the case plus the UK does not have tax id numbers like the USA.
