If I Open Browser Without Being Connected To VPN, Will This Put My Accounts At Risk?
 

Hi, so I've recently purchased my fresh and dedicated IP address from IPBurger and I've got it all up and running fine, my question is however if I open my internet browser (Google Chrome) whilst I am not connected to this VPN, will this leak my IP address and put my accounts at risk?

The whole reason I'm asking this is because it usually takes a minute or two for my VPN to connect when my laptop gets turned on, and so I'm led to believe the internet connection made before then is my own, and stupidly I opened Google Chrome whilst being connected to my own internet broadband. I did only open Google Chrome. I didn't visit any websites or click anything else, I simply opened Google Chrome and it automatically redirected me to Google Search Bar which is does by default.

WILL MY ACCOUNTS BE OKAY OR HAVE I MSSED THINGS UP??!?!?

(P.S. Whoever created IPBurger thank you so much! I'm not the best with computers but the step-by-step tutorials on how to sort everything out was spot on, it made the whole experience a stroll in the park and the customer service and VPN service is second to none.)

No your account is safe presuming eBay/PayPal isn't your homepage

Only if you go to eBay or PayPal websites

So long as you dont then you have nothing to worry about :)

You still safe since you not went to eBay or PayPal site

But you need to block access while your vpn is not connected or in case if it's disconnect then you will be linked

As mentioned above, you will remain safe as long as you do not go onto eBay or PayPal's Websites.

Also, if you were to go onto a page that you had to purchase something using PayPal, this could be an issue as PayPal logs all IP Addresses used to purchase anything.

Just make sure your IP Addresses are different per account, same as your user account on your computer.

Just opening your browser, is completely fine.

If you went onto eBay / PayPal, then there "might" be an issue, but even then its not "usually" a big deal if something like this happens once.
