Free P.O Box UK
 

Was looking for a P.O box for any returns I receive. I am wanting to create a new stealth account but do not have an address to use or access in case of any returns. I came across this website (https://www.ukpostbox.com/address/free-po-box-rental). It says you only have to pay for mail you receive and free to set up. Has anyone tried it and is it successful? Any other suggestions for a returns address is appreciated. Thanks

Its a pretty widely used service

It may well have issues, but I havent seen it reported yet. Worth a go i nothing else

The issue may well be when you have mismatching names though

These services are great for returns. They shouldn't be used for setting up stealth accounts though as most of them will already be used & abused.

Name mistmatch may cause issues. Check with the respective service provider.

Best thing to do is ensure your returns are kept to an absolute minimum. That way should you need to ever accept a return on the odd occasion, you might not encounter any issuers with the PO box provider.

A lot will let you leave a key behind reception as long as the delivery driver is happy to take the parcel/s to the unit.

But how do you make the return address be different than the account address? Once a case is open the address is set.

Add an alternative address after account creation, and use it for returns.

Go to the addresses part in your account and you will see there is a registration address, a primary post from address and a primary returns address. All 3 can be different. Just don't use an address previously used.

There are alternatives to P.O. Boxes. You just have to think of possible alternatives. A works address for example, and I have even used my local takeaway in the past.

these are businesses, so not really 'free'....and it depends on your margins

ok you get a free address but the return receiving service to your box incurs a fee, and then you pay for them to forward the return to you, again with extra fee. It would need to be a higher price return to be worth this.

Low price returns, are better off writing off and not asking them to return, or you could actually lose money doing it.

Its the middle price returns that are the dilemma, is it worth all the returning merry go round, to just save a couple of pounds profit......

Personally I think in the long run your going to be paying more their prices on their pay as you go tariff for parcels is £5.95 per item which is way too much your better off getting a P.O. Box from Royal Mail as it will work out cheaper in the long run. Although this all counts on what products you sell and how often you get returns all the best.
