Just got an email from DHL saying they are delivering something to my stealth address
 

Any ideas what i should do ? .Iv got no idea what it is all i know it says its coming from ebay .Im guessing its a customer who is returning something

Can i phone DHL and cancel it or get it diverted Iv already put it on holiday hold till july

You won't be able to divert the delivery but you may be able to call DHL to tell them it's an old business address & to return it to sender.

I can only think of three possible reasons;

1. You have returns set to automatically be accepted - Just check your returns & if it's this you'll have to refund the customer.

2. You have the stealth address as the sender details on the parcels you send - Get this changed ASAP. I'm not sure where you'd stand on this matter within eBay return T&C's (would assume there'd be a big difference depending if you're a business or private seller) but morally you should refund this order.

3. One of your customers have not been in to accept delivery and its being returned to you - Get the sender address changed with your courier ASAP

Thats a good ideal il check my returns thing


Iv got no idea who sent it or what it is i never use DHL i only use royal mail my items are quite small ..unless its something i sold last year which could have been bigger

DHL have an address change function, so yes, you can.

Go to DHL On Demand.

Thats what happens when you take bad advice on an internet forum :)

You can write to the addressee or find their number and call them, say you entered in the wrong house and ask them if it would be ok for a courier to collect it from them...but generally, if its of any value and a scally area, they will ignore you and just keep it.

Just hope they dont contact ebay to say this mysterious parcel arrived!

I've looked into this & seems like it's only available if the new delivery address is in the same delivery area as the original address?

Nope, works fine for cross country transfers, but does take time once you initiate it.
