Unable to Setup Automatic payment method eBay
 

Hello,

Anyone else facing issues lately with trying to setup Automatic payment method on eBay using your paypal account which has VCC added and verified?

After entering login details for Paypal account keep receiving the following error message - "We're sorry. We weren't able to set up pre-approved payments at this time. Please try again later. Please return to the merchant and choose another way to pay."

ANY ADVICE WILL BE HIGHLY APPRECIATED FOLKS BEEN TRYING SINCE YESTERDAY NOW...

Add a VCC to stsrt with and then go back in daily and try to change it. It will go through eventually. I've been getting this regularly for several weeks now.

Thanks for the reply, sorry just to clarify I have already added the VCC and had it confirmed. Do I need to keep changing the VCC? And keep trying via eBay to see if it will eventually sort??

Add the VCC as the automatic payment method on ebay if you currently have nothing on there. Then wait a day and try to change it to Paypal.

Another glitch me thinks.

I've done as Ebayorbust mentioned, just added the vcc as the automatic payment method. Then change it to paypal when you're ready.

seems to be a lot of glitches, maybe more so with stealth accounts, my ebay/paypal stopped accepting payments after paypal took an auto payment out for fees, been fine for months b4 that, of course both companies won't act/blame each other etc, meanwhile I have to buy another account......not heard of these glitches affecting regular account holders as such....

Real or stealth, it all happens the same.

I could name 100 glitches from the likes of ebay and paypal over the years, some last a day, some last weeks.

UPDATE:

Tried this morning on one of the accounts and it went through fine on first go. So definitely seems like a glitch...

Haven't seen it since last month tbh and I've made plenty accounts in the last few weeks.

Seems to only happen when Visa cards are involved, that's my experience anyway.

Issue did resolve for my accounts last week - just had to wait it out

Does seem very strange as almost all are getting this and it doesn't seem to resolve itself.

How long has this been on going? I had to wait 6 weeks on some accounts but did eventually self resolve...

This happens to me but usually goes away the longer i leave the accounts to age.

Just let the accounts rest and try every couple days and eventually it will work
