Ebay requested me for card info to be added to start selling
 

Is this new or I miss something? Here was my steps:

1) open new ebay account (US and I'm from EU)
2) open new paypal account
3) add bank account in pp
4) confirmed paypal bank info with the code that they have sent me.
5) link paypal to my ebay account.

6) Add my 1st item

And at the end, when I confirm listing, ebay redirect me to page where I must add tax payment method. I choose paypal, a new window (paypal login) is opened with empty fields for credit card info. If I click cancel, it's transfering me back to the ebay tax method page.

So I'm unable to list a new item without filling cc fields.

That's not sounds good at all...
Is it OK if I add payoneer card or vcc from UK? My bank acc is from another EU country.

I have had this also recently. Got a verified PayPal account using u account waited a couple of days then opened new ebay àccount and went to list à book, when I click list item it could not load the page. Went to the preferences to link PayPal account and it normally takes you to the eBay billing agreement where you would just confirm, however it now seems that eBay want you to add a card?

Happened to me too. They need a backup payment method in case your PP balance is not enough

If eBay need a back up payment method why would they direct you via PayPal and not just accept and hold the card details themselves? Also when you add the card details via PayPal
nothing happens you cannot move forward with it and are unable to list.

Is it Ok if I add different card holder name? For examp:

Paypal: John D
Ebay: John D

Paypal credit card: Alex M

Not sure about the name, but I would assume the address of the card would have to match the stealth account a address. I tried with a Morrisions gift card which worked fine on the Paypal side but for Ebay now there seems to be no way to get round it? At one point they wanted to charge £1 to the card to verify it, but you cannot accept funds into a Morrisons gift card. I will look at using a VCC that allows payments to be made and see if that helps.

Is anyone else getting this when opening new Ebay accounts or might it just be a procedural thing for not opening PayPal or Ebay accounts in a set manor?

US registration, but I checked both sites and requirements are the same.

Will a VCC Entropay Card be ok to use?

So the question is can you use a VCC registered with your stealth details? and will it be subject to AVS? and will the VCC ned to be one that can accept funds for verification?

I'm not sure? It depends if eBay send funds to the account to verify it and can they then see the name and address on the àccount? I've used my own personal entropay account to pay eBay fees in the past for multiple stealth accounts in the past without any issues but not sure how things work if they send funds to your entropay account?

The card gets added to PayPal, so entropay is no good.

Well, the simplest option is to add a card to PayPal.

Or choose another option for the automatic payment method. You will still need a card for this to though, one that works for ebay.

Try a vanilla prepaid card from the supermarket. Its will need to pass the avs check so register it at your stealth address.

I thought with those cards you can't put money on to them? I'm sure in previous posts a user said that eBay/Paypal want to send an amount to the card??

Vanilla cards have £25 pre loaded on them.

The page that is being displayed is because there is no card attached to PayPal. In some cases, even when a card is attached to PayPal, the page still appears.
If you add the card to that box, the card gets added to PayPal. Its then up to you whether you confirm the card with PayPal or not.


If you choose a card as the automatic payment method, then ebay will take a £1 payment from the card doing this skips the need to add a card to paypal (for the time being atleast)

Man this is an issue, I bought a verified account and it won't let me sell either. Asking me to contact Ebay customer service. I am going to purchase a few more items and hope for the best in another couple of weeks.

Well, obviously I can't do that. What if they ask for address verification to be sent to them?

One question about VCC - what type of card are they? How to find supermarket which offer VCC? What I must ask in the shop? Are they some kind of gift cards?

P.S. I live in small country and this will be hard task

You can gets prepaid cards and register stealth info to it, so it matches the one on the PayPal account.

i.e. those found in Morrisons and many other supermarkets.

Most of the cards you find in supermarkets will work just fine. Alternatively you have the forum marketplace where working, tried and tested VCCs are being sold.

I always use a Morrison card and made 5 stealth accounts with them why is this thread saying it dont work when you list an item ???

These cannot be topped up. They are available in £25, £50 and £100 which you pay at the till along with the fee.

You can buy them in numerous denominations. Best to ask if they have any that are re loadable if that's what you're after.

I dont get this ,...if you do what it says on instruction video to open up a stealth paypal and ebay ie, mobile phone .supermarket card ,bank account ,get them all verified then link it to ebay are you saying ebay will ask you for a card before you can list anything ?
