Can I Pay EBAY Without Paypal

Is it possible for me to pay Ebay without Paypal, and continue to do so.

I would prefer to use credit / debit card without opening a new Paypal account.

Yes you can. Usually if the sellers ebay account is US you can pay with a card, or recheck through your bank account.

You can pay directly on eBay, but it does get processed by PayPal (at least the last time I checked!)

Yes, you are correct everything currently gets processed by paypal. So if you are trying to use a card from a suspended account it usually does not go through.

I seem to have the good fortune not to have any suspended Ebay accounts. So that is not a problem.

I guess with the success of Paypal as an online payment provider many more Online activities are using and requesting payment provided via Paypal.

I am a frequent user and mainly Ebay buyer and would prefer not to have Ebay business mixed up with a considerable number of online sellers. On this occasion I am not trying to "bend" the rules. Just want to keep my "books" straight.

I understand I can pay for items I buy on Ebay through debit/credit card but this seemingly has to be a "one-off" transaction. One off is not what I have in mind.

Is it possible to pay "CASH" to Ebay, to avoid Paypal. I should point out I am a frequent buyer on several Ebay websites, not just Ebay.com.

This is not a "major league" problem, but I would prefer to stay in control.

Debit / Credit Card - Yes.

Cash - Nope.

If you are a frequent buyer, perhaps opening an ebay buyer account may be the way forward.

You want to pay cash to eBay? Thats not possible...

Some sellers maybe willing to accept cash directly though if you contact them

Sometimes, paypal via ebay advises you to join up and stop using Guest checkout.

You can do guest checkout - just avoid using credit card associated with a blocked PP account from before

Prepaid gift card. I've done it that way.

There's also an option to pay via mail, (or there used to be), you could use a money order.

If you trusted them to post it correctly.

I am not against PayPal, it's just that I don't like the strange hold they have on making payments on Ebay. I don't care who owns what !!! I would like to make my own decision how I get to make payments. After all it is my money.

Holds take place when you receive payments via PayPal.

You dont need to worry about holds when sending payments. The seller will deal with that.

As Play says, you don't get holds when paying people, you get holds when people pay you - sometimes. I only see holds on my new accounts, my long term established accounts don't have them.
