eBay wont connect to Paypal issue
 

Hello, I have had a new stealth eBay and PayPal for a few weeks now but when I try to setup my PayPal as my automatic payment method I get a message along the lines of... "Sorry we cant connect your pre-approved payment method, please return to merchant."

I have attempted to phone eBay and PayPal and they have done nothing but blame each other and have been no help, this has been annoying I was on the phone with a guy from eBay for like 3 hours. Turned out to be a big waste of time, he basically came up with the conclusion that it's Paypal fault. Then he forwarded me to PayPal, and they said to ask eBay for advise.

Just for information I have a PayPal with a VCC, a Soho66 phone number and a proton mail address, there is no bank account attached. Is it possible there is a issue with the way it's been made?

If you could help me out with any advise that would be great.

It's a well known glitch that's been happening for a while on some accounts. I found a way around this earlier today, i can't post the steps from memory. Will post them when I'm at a pc tomorrow.

Go to,

Account > Seller Account > Payments and refunds > Set up automatic payment method.

This is the link that works when the others fail.

I just did it today and got the same thing ,,,,when i went to list an item,, it directed to paypal (which id already linked previously ) ,,but it said this is the method we want to use to pay ebays fees ,,,then wen i clicked on it pp asked me to add a card ,,,,,i i used the one i already registered with PP,,,,,, but it said this bank account and card cannot be used add another card ...So i skiped PP and just add the card as a payment method which is not ideal as thers only a few quid on it
