From experience we know that certain items and actions are more closely associated with fraudulent activity on eBay than others. Under the eBay User Agreement we may suspend an account if we believe that the user may cause eBay or another eBay user financial loss or legal liabilities. What does this mean? I have been selling my normal items, have over 300 positives and 2 negs in the last year and they have done this? The only thing I can think of is that I was restricted from selling a certain brand, so I queried it, and this happened. Can someone please explain how I can get my account back? I even got powerseller invitation a week ago, so I am so confused about this.

Also how long is indefinately? How long do you think it will take to get my account back?

it may mean you are linked to a banned account, have you got any banned ones?

the original account was banned, but it was reinstated and no its not linked to any other banned accounts

So the account has been banned B4 but got reinstated? Now it has this MC183 notice?

Could there be anything close/similar to the banned accounts? Have to wonder if when ebay checked over your complaint about the item, that they 'found' something. Otherwise, you might have annoyed them bigtime & got what could boil down to a generic (we will tell you nothing) suspension.

yes I had one account my main account. That got suspended. Then I opened a new account without reading stealth and then that got suspended. But then they were both reinstated. I carried on selling on my main account clocking up 100 positive feedbacks and 1 negative and thats when all the restrictions about names in listings came about. There is actually nothing for them to find, everything I was selling is legit. Also how would I have annoyed them? Is it one person that decides he has annoyed me I will get him suspended? I might have annoyed them as they restricted my access and I emailed twice telling them to look into my history. It says indefinately suspended aswell, how long will that take until they will reinstate me? This suspension has come out of no where.

If it says indefinately suspended, dont bother trying to get it reinstated, if it says anything other than a 7 day or 30 day suspension, it isnt worth waiting around for, make new accounts now.

make sure you have no links whatsoever with the banned accounts, read up before making them..

That was how they suspended me- I had 1000+ feedback with a few neg's...but that was back when I only had 1 account...I've learned better now- there's no way around this one. Best thing is to move on and spend a few hours today making as many ebay accounts as possible

I dont understand why ebay do this. I pay me fees on time and I am making them money aswell as myself so why is there a need 2 suspend me over nothing. The first time I was suspended I knew why, but this time I actually have no clue over what going on. Ebay are a bunch of tossers, I am surprised competition with ebay hasn't come yet.

They have to show, if ever challenged that they have systems in place to counter abuses of the system, a bit like compliance in companies, you are a casualty, its nothing personal. They also know you will probably make other accounts, its a game..

but wont they delete my other accounts, for example, if they think I will make another account and I havent read ebay stealth or anything like that, wont they just delete that account straight away?

course they will delete your other accounts if you dont make them properly

so do you think theres no way to get back on using my account that I have now? also how long do they archive IP addresses and data abotu you for?

Archive, well its a computer system so it would be capable of indefinite archiving but I would assume at least a year.

If you want to go through the reinstatement process by all means go for it, if you think its a mistake and the banned account is reinstated as you said, you can try, forum members experiences of reinstatement on anything over the 30 day suspension is poor, I know your logic tells you its a mistake, but they often refuse to admit theyve made one, even when its crystal clear. My personal opinion is that you should not waste more than 3 weeks pleading with them, at that point make new accounts.

example, I had a group of accounts that all tumbled before I joined the forum, banned for a year, at the year mark, I got email to say reinstated on one of them, I ignored it, I was already up and running again on my new accounts for the past 11 months..

I dont think I will bother will making new accounts, its too much hassle to start again for me, it wasnt my life it was just a pass time that made money, im disappointed how ebay treats sellers
