Default New eBay account questions - Collection only

I'm looking to just sell large bulky items on a new account, so it's gonna be collection only.

Is it possible to just add a vcc in PP, and leave out the bank details?

Thanks.

Sure can do. No harm in that so long as you don’t want to try to withdraw funds from PayPal

Be wary being paid via paypal for collection only items, I wouldn't accept that for any high risk items or customers. Cash on collection is best.

No way of avoiding use of PP for this?

There's the risk of chargeback s if they pay via PP, and claim they never collected it.

Ok, so in a bizarre turn of events (no one will sell me a UK vcc!), I managed to add a new bank account instead. So there is no card attached, is this ok?

Sure that is also fine

You can pick up cards form Tesco or boots though for future reference

Bank account is fine.

Last I checked, eBay policy stated you have to accept PayPal as a payment method for collection, and your listing can be taken down if you try to force cash on collection onto a buyer - just be wary of that.

But I wouldn't take anything other than cash when they come to collect the large bulky item. If they insist on anything else, just cancel the sale.

Thanks.

I tried the Visa card (Morrisons), and PP refused to accept it (see one of my latest threads).

So are they Visa ones in Boots & Tesco's?
