"Real" Name on Ebay and PP (not bank accs)
 

Hi

1st post from me so please be gentle.

Was suspended about 18months ago.But now have new pc new address new bank acc and card and landline phone so all good so far.

Now when i register for Ebay and PP can i use my Actual "real" name? my bank accs etc are of course in my real name but on the actual basic regsitration bit of each site (not the bank details bit) should i stick with my "Nick Smith" real name(its on my bank ac and card) or can i be called mickey mouse as long as im mickey mouse on both Ebay and PP?

Alternately should i be Nick "Smyth" or Smithh.

Any help greatly appreciated,ive ahd a good look around but most name threads are strictly dealing with bank/ cc cards.

Welcome to the forum. Make the ebay/paypal name the same. I prefer to have a brand new name:Mickey Mouse if you like or Mick Brown-Symth.

So if i register both my ebay and pp (general registration) in the same name(but altered) ie "Nick smyth" instead of "Nick Smith" this wont affect my bank/card details which are of course in "Nick Smith" my real name?

I know pp cant see the name on bank accs so thats no problem but i'd have presumed if i regsitered as "Smyth" wouldn't they expect "Smythe" on the bank acc details? or is it simply a case that the name you register with doesn't need to match those on your bank ac/s?

That's right. At this point most banks have no problems with the variations. We have reports of some troubles but not many.:peace: You must ensure that the bank account accepts the direct debit mandate.
