Can't use PayPal as automatic payment method on eBay
 

Everytime I try and add my PayPal account to my eBay as the automatic payment method I get this message
"Your transaction cannot be completed. Please return to the merchant."

Anyone know how to fix it?

Have you got a card or bank account added to PayPal?

Yes I've got both a card and bank linked and confirmed, it was working fine before but now all of a sudden it won't let me add it to any eBay account

May well just be a glitch

Try it on a different browser. A lot of the time that fixes the issue

Like just a glitch as James - seems to happen a lot around the weekends as of lately :(

It used to work when I'd add it by trying
Account > Seller Account > Payments and refunds > Set up automatic payment method

but now I always get the same message "Your transaction cannot be completed. Please return to the merchant."
Any other ideas on what to do?
I've tried everything I can think off but always get the same result.

Would it work if I bought a PayPal from here to add it as the payment method or try using a VCC?

You can try both those things, but if it’s a glitch then it’s a glitch. Takes PayPal time to fix these things

Either buying one on the forum or ones you can get from shops

Same answe as before. If it’s a PayPal glitch then it may not if your connecting via PayPal

I was going to try and add the VCC straight to the ebay account.
Or would that not work?

I've had this glitch before. Just try again later. no need to contact PP.

In my experience just trying again later does not work.

Add a card as the automatic payment method. Then later on change it to paypal.
