Removing negative feedback

I see a lot of sellers selling fofo items and I’ve noticed when they get negative feedback due to the fofo item the feedback mysteriously disappears after a few hours now obviously there getting it removed somehow not sure how hence the thread!

I’ve tried on numerous occasions to have feedback removed without joy can you fellow stealthers share your thoughts on how this is being done and what tactics are used to do so!

I just call in until someone kind enough to remove it. Then again it depends why it was left in first place.

Example someone leaves negative feedback, opens a return and buyer doesn't return. Once case won in your favor, the feedback gets removed automatically.

Calling in and not getting someone from the Irish call centre works fine most of the time for UK accounts.

I use live chat to speak to ebay, 95% of the time the feedback gets removed.

On the issue of feedback, its far too easy for buyers to ruin your feedback. I had an issue where Royal Mail misplaced one of my parcels, never sent it tracked and the buyer just left negative feedback without even giving me the chance to refund or replace the item, Ebay wouldn't remove it for some strange reason? they said I should send feedback revision, but the buyer ignored the messages.

On live chat I asked the rep to remove neg left in retaliation for opening an unpaid item case, the rep refused, so I simply left the chat, restarted a chat with a new rep who cheerfully removed it in seconds!

Re: Removing negative feedback

send the customer a crawling message about how sorry you are they haven't received their item/got a 'faulty' item etc. and explain how it negatively affects seller abilities and this is your only job now due to redundancy......then request a feedback revision. works a lot of the time :)

Just bare in mind there is a limit to how many feedback revision requests you can send out, I believe its something like 5 per 1,000 feedback received.

Calling in and getting feedback removed doesn't count towards those requests, which is neat.

ebay live chat is your best bet, i dont even bother sending feedback revision requests. There are ways around it if you think outside the box

Many tactics are there to remove the negative reviews from the web. One of the best and most proven tips is to connect with the website owner and ask them to remove the negative review if it is not valid. You can take the help of online review management experts. They will implement the best negative review removing strategies to improve your image on the web.

Re: Removing negative feedback

If you send in a Notice of Defamatory Content then technically Ebay are legally obliged to remove the feedback due to libel law (in the UK, it may be different in the US). I used to send them in all the time, and the feedback would always be removed within 24hours. I don't like to do it though because it just draws attention, I usually just ignore the feedback, it doesn't affect your seller metrics anyways, and only idiots pay attention to consumer driven reviews, so it actually acts as a deterrent to the worst types of customer. Most people don't even look at feedback before purchasing anyways
