In the process of creating a new account following Ebay Stealth guide, last time I created an account I used a gift card from the supermarket to verify my Paypal account, seen a few posts suggesting these no longer work?

Any advice on what to use? Thanks

You can just add a bank account to verify

Otherwise cards from super markets will work to confirm accounts

last I tried the vanilla mastercards worked just fine, I think the people that have issues are probably just not using them correctly or picking up the wrong card.

Can confirm the VISA gift card still works fine, just registered at stealth address and added to paypal, thanks again.

If you have Monzo app with debit mastercard, then you can change the address on the app to pass AVS.

Paypal is slowly following the footsteps of Amazon they are slowly blocking prepaid cards many bins are blocked now

I bet a day will come when only real credit cards will work

That day hasnt even come on Amazon yet. VCCs still work over there

It will be a long time before PayPal get there.

yes But majority of them are blocked James Only those VCCs works which are not popular or abused.... i mean very few

Yep there are very few, and there always will be. The same applies to PayPal to a lesser extent.

Each year a host of BINs get blocked and then they BIN from the issuer changes and the cards work again for a year until they are blocked again the next year. Its just a cycle

There will always be sellers like us looking for alternatives so you can rest assure your business wont run into a brick wall. :)

Had a glance of Monzo, may I ask is it a bank card or is it a credit card? Shall I register with my real address (eBay banned this address several years ago), wait to receive the credit card, and then change to stealth address? Does Monzo request any ID or utility bill with actual address shows on?
