Default Starting a New Account After a 2013 Selling Ban

Any advice on starting a new legit account?

I had an account from 2005 to 2013 with feedback in its thousands that got banished from selling due to slow shipping. So now in 2019, I have a new address, as well as a drivers license which I have never used with eBay. I previously used my passport so no doubt it will have a unique ID which I cannot use again.

What are the chances of opening a new account and keeping it?

I know I should stick with stealth, but it would be nice to have a new account that I can buy and sell on as I would not like to post certain items from a stealth account and then I could just forget my old account as a buying account.

Any thoughts or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

If you were suspended due to issues as a seller then you should be fine opening a new account and using it only for buying. My main one was suspended for selling issues and then I made a new one and have been buying on it for 5 years now. If you used your passport before then it sounds like eBay already has your name.

Another idea for making a "more real" account is to use a stealth name at first then upgrading to a real LLC that you own. If you do this you should be fine and could use your new IP address without needing to buy a fresh one from hostpigeon, IPBurger or 24vc. But as is often said it is best to have multiple accounts just to be safe in case any issues arise.

It would be a buying and selling account. I wouldn't use anything twice apart from my Christian name, surname, date of birth and an old passport picture compared to a new drivers license picture. I could even go part stealth and change my date of birth, add a middle name and use a completely different picture to my own from any age.

Who banned you back in 2013? Ebay or Paypal?

I'm certain you will be fine opening new accounts in all your legit details. I did the same thing after a couple of years and everything is fine to this day.

It was eBay that limited me from selling for slow shipping when the star system kicked in. I can still use the account to buy and paypal should still be ok although ive not logged in for a couple of years.

I'd use this current account for buying only. Open separate stealth account(s) for selling. Keep the two separate. Best practice in my opinion.

I wouldn't risk it at the same address.

I had moved when I opened my new account.

I now have a new address, new bank, new IP etc. Its pretty much stealth but using my dob and same name. If I need to provide ID then they can have my drivers license instead of my passport as I had used this previously.

It will be interesting to see if I get pulled up or not, I have a few stealths running but its always nice to have an account with your own name and address.

Started the new account.

My old details except for a new address, new bank, new IP, new email and new phone number.

I even got a four digit selling limit on a private account. So far so good, I have sold items and have others for sale and its been a month.

Also they did a credit check which had my old address on it and its still good.

If anyone wants to know, ill post again in a few months to let you know if its still going.

the passport they have on file and the driving license you send them will have the same name and date of birth. it may eventually throw up a red flag?
