Can I sell without burning a bank account?
 

HI Folks
I want to set up a few accounts for security after having my account banned. Bought one from this site but want to set up my own. Is it possible to sell a couple of small items per month and have the money sit in paypal without linking a bank account. I want to build them up oer a period of 6 months. Any tips or advice would be greatly welcome

Yes you can add the bank when you've determined the account is "solid"

Definitely doable. You never need to add a bank if you don't want to.

You can just let the balance accumulate. But I wouldn't sell expensive items and therefore let the balance get too high, just in case you make a mistake and account gets limited etc.

But just to get the ball rolling, thats a good way to go about it.

For talking sake, if you weren't going to add a bank account, could you use your PayPal funds to buy goods to your own address?

Yes, you can use your balance. The more mature the account, the less likely you'll encounter issues with spending your balance or sending money anywhere.

I wish USA Paypal would work that way... it would be nice

I've just read this thread and am I wrong in thinking you have to link your paypal to your eBay in order to sell, and if you havent added a bank and confirmed it on paypal, the act of linking a unconfirmed paypal to eBay is likely to get your account limited or suspended ?

You should be wrong. Otherwise how you ganna get the money into your PP by selling on EB.

If you have attached a bank or card then it will work fine. Ideally both.

It doesn’t have to be confirmed or verified to be linked, but it’s much better if you do
