How to Up selling limits
 

Hi guys recently I started a new eBay account ( yesterday ) and I have sold 3 out of the 3 items that were listed . However now I can’t list anymore items as my selling limit is 10 items in a month .
I heard I need to call eBay .
What do I need to say when I call them and what will my limits most likely be raised to ?
And does anyone know what number I need to call them on ( UK) ?
Btw I am a dropshipper and don’t want them to be aware of this so they don’t flag my account.

If you're dropshipping you should probably avoid calling them, and just let your limits raise naturally on their own. If you list to your limit each month and you do a good job with customer service they will start giving you decent limit increases after the first month or two of selling.

If you get a rep looking at your account and asking questions it's probably going to become obvious that you're dropshipping.

The problem is at the money my monthly limit is 10 items or £650 in sales . This is way too low for a month , I can exceed this in a matter of days . When you ask them to increase limits what questions do they ask ?

Live chat works every single time i use it to raise my limits

Will ask what your selling, how much you think they will sell for, how fast your going to post and thats about it

A good idea would be to spread your sales over multiple accounts. If your selling really quick, you'll get this account limited really quick too.

They will ask if you have a supplier and sometimes the suppliers name, I agree with Phaz that if you are drop shipping its not the best idea to draw attention to the account.

Calling or live chat does work well for limit increases.

I listed 4 items and now I have 5 sales . This is after 3 days of selling on the account. My first day I had 1 sale , yesterday 2 and today 2 so far . I used the live chat and got my limits increased to 350 listing and 15k a month .
Am I selling to fast ?
I was thinking on listing and additional 5 items today

I also used live chat on my last account to increase selling limits.

Just had a look for live chat there though and couldn't find it, strange.

I find that hard to believe, you sold 5 items on a new account in 3 days then requested higher limits, they then granted you £15,000 a month?
Did you go through some kind of verification process?

There is no need to request higher limits, a 10/£650 account can be increased to 90/£6,000 (2 increases) within the same calendar month automatically if done correctly, although if you are selling high risk or value items you will be waiting 90 days unless you upgrade to a business account

I told the eBay rep on the live chat that I needed my limits raised , he then asked me some questions like if the items were mine and if I had suppliers . After answering he automatically raised them to that amount I didn’t ask it to be raised to a specific amount.

are you registered as a business seller? there must be something that you have on file with ebay that convinced him your low risk, like you have set paying ebay fee's using direct debit with the same bank account added to your paypal account, that would be good way of getting high limits but it aint stealth

At the time of the increase I wasn’t registered as a business seller . But I did choose to pay the store fees with my bank account- which wasn’t linked to my PayPal .

Now ebay has your real details on file, you are not a risk to them, only problem with that is it aint stealth and also if for any reason you get permanently suspended any time in the furture they keep your details on file so you cannot make another account with that info.

They can give large increases on day 1 of an account, that's sold nothing. I've gone from 0/0 to 500/£19000. There's no secret. It's just down to the rep you speak with.
