Am i going crazy or have giffgaff and 02 started charging before activation?

Meaning i need to top up in order to activate the card?

i don't ever remember having to top up to activate the sim card in the past.

Or am i just getting old and dottled!!! :confused:

i just looked at the back of the packet, in small text "must activate by 20-6-2018 ". (o2 sim)

oh well, shop tomorrow i guess.

get an asda sim card in store for 50p it comes with 10mins calls 10 texts and 10 meg of data and cheap top up of £5 using ee. if you order one by phone they are free

Not bad. Prepaid means you can keep the sim active for longer without the need topup and make calls later.
