Paypal 180 hold nightmare
 

The lies and different answers to withdrawing money in my Paypal are amazing.

Had the Paypal can no longer do business email 180 days ago, received the funds are eligible to be withdrawn email shortly after the 180 days was up. attempted to withdraw to my Bank, I then had a security check on my old mobile number which I could not use to receive the code.

Contacted paypal to resolve this, been told

1. Funds need to be sent to another Paypal account friends or family
2. you are using a proxy, please use a home wifi connection
3. Change your phone number and receive new code
4. send email to europeanservices@paypal.com requesting withdrawal
5. wait 48 hours while reset security check, then try again.
6. Send note attached to email with bank info regarding the withdrawal
7. Upload bank statement showing the acc number i wish to withdraw to

Now I'm being told the account is linked to someone I've never heard of whose account owes paypal money.

Why don't the Irish call centre deal with UK Paypal accounts no more? they use to resolve most things just by calling them. Now it's newbie UK/Filipinos who have no idea.

Head is about to explode.

I have same issue, which numbers was you calling to paypal? I have tried to ring irish number provided on contact us graph but no luck, same stupid reps without competence.
I have heard that it is worth to call US limitations phase 2 dept, but can't find number of them

I had the exact same issue, i changed the number, still didn't work, i phoned pp and couldnt pass credit checks. I waited roughly 20 days, and tried adding bank again, it worked and could withdraw, didn't need to phone USA pp.

Did you receive the 'funds eligible to be withdrawn' email?

Were you asked to provide documents proving ID?

The weird thing is, I received the funds eligible to be withdrawn email which did not work as i could not pass the security check, now i am being asked for ID documents.

Made calls to the USA & UK customer services and getting different answers each time. Never had this problem before when I received the funds withdraw email.

I've been calling the UK one ending 7911 and the USA C/S. the USA paypal c/s were the ones who sent the funds eligible to be withdrawn email and are normally very helpful. due to the UK paypal messing things up I do not know when it will be resolved.

UK paypal use to be only the Irish call centre who knew what they were doing. now you can get what sounds like Filipinos and English who have no idea about anything.

USA paypal c/s can help withdraw funds after 180 days without asking for ID documents.
