hi guys , looked around a bit but couldnt find anything so posting here, ive been making accounts on ebay for over a year now, all good followed all the rules no issues, except when i receive 1650 into the account the eu limit, it limits my paypal and asks me for passport and utility bills check, done this before last year sometime, mocked up a passport on photoshop changed the details to match the stealth account name, same with my old house gas bill, changed some of the numbers so they couldnt trace to my real account and sent, all good got lifted straight away been fine since.. now another account got to that stage, done same but this time rejected, and paypal dont want to do business with that account ..burnt ! .. so are they checking them against a database or summit now? or just unlucky that some paypal op somewhere actually did check the dodgy docs ?

You were either just unlucky this time or you got lucky last time (depending on the quality of your submission).

just educating myself ,i might have not paid as much attention to the mrz zone on a passport, this time, ill brush up and test another one on a different account tonight, so am i right in thinking they do not verify passports just store the info extracted from the last 2 lines of the passport the mrz machine readable zone ?, so this has to be right ?

If PayPal can check using a proper database of existing persons there is no way to bypass that... the stealth guy simply does not exists.

As far as I am aware, that is not happening at least in our country...
