What Happens To A Pending Withdraw?
 

Hi guys

If you are waiting for a few withdraw to bank to clear and a customer opens a claim.

Do all the withdrawals cancel if there's no balance in your PayPal account?

I've got a customer who opened a case on ebay saying it didn't arrive but the tracking shows there signature. EBay closed the claim and I withdrew the funds but now I'm thinking he may try to open one with PayPal.

If the tracking shows as delivered and he opens a PP one, im sure PP side with the seller.
Also, if one claim is already open, and they try open another with either PP or Ebay, you just live chat and explain the situation and they close it. I've done it a couple times i believe it's because you can't have 2 claims. I'm not sure if this is still valid though

EBay have already closed the claim in my favour and I have no doubt that paypal will do the same if the buyer opens a claim with them.

I've just never had a claim opened up while I have pending withdraw to bank still pending.

If the buyer opens a claim on paypal would all my pending withdrawals be cancelled while paypal look in to the claim?

No, the pending withdrawal should still go through unless your account gets limited, thats when they cancel the withdrawal.

So the account would still just go into a negative balance and the withdrawal would just go through?

You would think they would cancel them to make sure they get their money.

I've already gone through the suspension and supplied all the documents so that should be ok.

If you have a 0 balance in PayPal and someone opens a claim against you your account automatically goes into negative balance while PayPal investigate it

Oh, i wasn't aware you had 0, i don't think your withdrawal should be affected, tbh that's never happened to me. I never empty accounts to 0 though either.

I've never had a claim put in wile I was withdrawing funds either .

Has this happened to anyone on here?

Withdrawal gets cancelled if balance goes negative.

That's (one of) the reasons they hold withdrawals.

Oh ok, wasn't aware of that. I don't keep 0 balance anyway.

I had a feeling that would be the case.

Would they all be cancelled as soon as a case was open or would they be cancelled at the time/date they should clear?

I'm just thinking there would be a chance of me resolving it with PayPal before they were cancelled and save me having to wait again.

They'll cancel as soon as it goes negative, put the case amount on hold and the rest of the withdrawal will go back to available balance.
