Does that mean that the basic bank accounts you can ask for dont work with paypal in the UK?

GreenBean 04-29-2010 08:41 AM

@arshavin, correct. The account must be a current account. Which bank are you thinking of using?

arshavin 04-29-2010 08:44 AM

Damn!!! I am not sure. I already have bank accounts with, barclays and natwest.

Can i be cheeky enough to ask or a new account with barclays? I dont use the barclays account anymore so askin for a new one would prob be suspicous.

Provided you are in good standing with a bank, you can ask. tbf, I'd go for Natwest. They are very friendly: I know they have accounts with direct debit

you put bank card, which I assumed you meant was the card.

I cant rememeber where about i read it on the forum but i saw something about being able to open sub accounts on a certain online bank i think???

If i have that right can we do this in the UK and what bank is this? Would make things easier cos if not, sooner or later we will run out of lives with the banks.

ajmon 05-17-2010 04:22 AM

bank account or entropay

just wanted to know whether its better to get an entropay acct or go with basic accnt ? and will paypal accept entropay accts in UK

GreenBean 05-17-2010 04:36 AM

ajmon, entropay gives you the virtual card to use to verify paypal. You'll need a bank account for paypal money :ranger:

I moved back into my parents house 6 weeks ago due to splitting with my ex. I had been away for 2 1/2 years. Will this go against me when it comes to applying for basic bank accounts?

I have bad credit and a new address. Will this ruin the applications in any way?
