Mobile Virtual Network Operator and IP Address Pools
 

Hi I have a simple stealth setup. 3 ebay / paypal account each one tethered to a Mobile Phone on a different mobile network.

This means I don't have to log IP addresses as each network has it's own separate IP Pool of addresses.

My question is do you know if MVNOs (Mobile Virtual Network Operators) use the same IP address pool as the network they piggy back from? E.g Tesco Mobile uses O2s network so will it use the same IP Pool as O2 or will it have it's own.

I hope someone here has the answer. Imagine trying to ask a mobile phone company customer service rep that question :lol:

I feel like the answer would be yes, I can't see why it wouldn't. But i'm not 100% certain.

Now whilst your setup is neat, what happens when one account goes down? will you ditch using that network for good?

I'd always recommend logging IPs. :)
