Cookies are still relevant to allow for smooth logging in - but no sharing of cookies across accounts - use different user accounts on windows is what I do

In addition to what rsot have said, I've used Portable Browsers to separate my stealth accounts.

In what way do you mean?

Making new accounts, using the same user account / browser, is one of the fastest ways of getting limited. In other words, one of the strongest links.

I use different users accounts now for over 4 years and a dongle blah blah blah

I just remember when i first started people were saying dont delete your cookies as ebay like to see there cookies on that account ,,and by removing them it might look suspicious .,,.But when i make new accounts now,, i cant see any ebay or paypal cookies on my new accounts ,,iv got a cookie apt to show you wat cookies youv got

LOL if you believe ebay / paypal isn't leaving cookies. Your cookie 'apt' is broken if it doesn't discover the cookies .. not that you need an app .. just look though your browsers settings.

Yes, they are still important and will continue to be for a long, long time.

It is one of the most basic, universal way for websites to track and provide you content relevant to you.

You wouldn't be able to log in to eBay or any other website (and stay logged in) without a session cookie.

Nowadays you got a banner at the bottom of the screen asking you to accept cookies, I never click it on my accounts, yet Paypal and EBay work fine. So what's that all about?

By continuing to use their site after that have told you 'implied consent' is given and they leave cookies

close the browser.

Open the browser, is ebay still logged in?

Yes - cookies are being stored correctly.

No - your browser is set to delete cookies etc. after you exit. Ideally you want to change settings.
