Adding Bank acc to UK PP issue

When I try to add UK bank account to my UK pp acc I get the following error:

We're sorry, we're not able to process your request right now. Please try again later.

What could be the cause of this?
Bank account name is different from the one registered on PP

Tried Monese and HSBC, both did not work.

And they are empty btw, but as far as it goes for bank accounts, you do not need to have any money in them, do you? PP gives you a deposit to your bank accnt?

It may be your vpn causing it not to add. That can happen.

Being empty doesn't matter.

Try deleting cookies / browser history and log back in, fresh.

I just use CCleaner to do that.

I dont think it would help, it is a completely new account, hence fresh cookies and history..

You may well need to just give PayPal a ring in that case. Its a very straight forward process to get a bank account added to the PayPal on the phone.
