Ebay question

Got a few questions about my Ebay sales, not expecting anyone to tell me their selling secrets or anything but a little advice would be appreciated.

Have an account around 4 months old, no negative feedback, 30+ Positive feedback, 50+ items sold (low value, old football programmes, badges etc)

I have started selling an item that there isn't much of on Ebay, I can see one other seller who is selling the item in the UK, he has an aged account with loads of feedback etc, were selling the same thing, and the item is ending 5x higher than mine via 7 day auction.

Is this just because he's got a better account and selling history? or is there a better way to list items? currently doing 7 day auctions ending on Sunday evening.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Ebay question

Yes because that seller is established with a history of selling those items he is fetching a higher price.

Having said that ...

The best way to list items is "buy it now" not auctions.

Put the price you want with good quality photos / good description. And just wait.

If somebody asks a question don't get fed up or rude. I have had many people wind me up with stupid questions but funnily enough I have turned them in to customers as well so now I don't get annoyed at all I just look at it as a challenge to persuade them in to buying from me. When they do it's the best adrenaline rush ever ... can't beat it.

Re: Ebay question

if you want to go higher up near the top, you can promote your listing.
the more $$$ you give ebay if it sells the higher up you go.
keywords is essetional in item specifics.

money talks here.

promoted listing will drastically increase your sales, if this is a new account i'd rather keep it slow.
Good luck! :thumb:
