What cards do I need for a new PP acc?

Can someone remind me what cards I need to use for new PP acc?

I can't remember now...
But it was something like... use cards that have no link with addresses linked or something...
How about the name...?

Thanks.

Buy a card from the Marketplace.

It's the part of the forum where accounts and account related items/services are sold:

Aha... I see it now
Looking at now. Seems good. Will buy and try.

But if I wanted to get manually myself...
What should I get and from where?
Like topup cards or something?

Thanks.

Having read your post history I would strongly advise simply buying a card from an approved vendor in the marketplace.

I'll definitely will buy.
But wanted to know my options.
I also want to buy topup cards and use.
Reason: I don't want to put eggs all in one basked - like opening 10 accounts using VCCs from the market place and then finding I have trouble for all accounts.

Thanks.

You will need a bank account(s) for verifying the UK paypal(s) though

@rsot
Bank accounts I have.

Just forgot the deal about what cards to use - which cards don't have address verification (I think)?

Bank accounts and cards - do not need to be connected.
I assume this is correct from what I remember of the stealth guide.

Thanks.

Still looking for an answer...
What cards should I get?
(I will definitely be buying VCC as well, want to try both options)

You don't need a vcc if you have a bank account. Paypal no longer ask to add and confirm a card as a requirement. This used to be a step to complete when limited. It no longer is.

UK accounts only from my own experience of creating hundreds of accounts and passing many many many limitations.

You can buy one from the marketplace which is usually £15 or so, often cheaper

Or you can go to the supermarket and get one - they are around £27 or so

If your starting out then buying a card is going to be by far the simplest method.

@Twisty
I wasn't aware that the rules had changed? You only need a bank acc?
That bank acc can be in any name? As long as bank has no problems with receiving payments?

@JamesNorth101...
£27...?
I thought they were plenty in availability and cost a £5 one off?
I can't find ANY. Just googled. I was thinking of the Post Office - but they don't do anymore.

I saw VCC's for $6 from some sellers - just looked at 2 sellers.
Where did you get £15 from?

I'm left scratching my head now!

Re: What cards do I need for a new PP acc?

Yes. You just need to add a bank account and confirm it. You do not need a vcc or to add any card.

EBay does have a glitch sometimes where you can't use your PayPal balance with only bank account as back up for automatic payment of fees. This is when you can just add vcc directly to eBay. Then make one off payments via PayPal for you fees.

Adding vcc to Paypal can often cause more issues than not adding one. If you are ever limited you won't be asked for cc statement or to add a card and confirm. Its no longer a standard step to fulfill.

If you have access to a UK bank account then just use that.

Try it and report back.
