Seems a mess to me with the ownership.

Also it’s worth noting rather than them trying to take legal action they might have just been making a test purchase to try to get trading standards involved.

To get trading standards involved they can submit a test purchase along with a sales receipt but with the limited resources that department has they aren’t going to launch an operation against your single figure sales

Thing is though trading standard deal in companies selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ products but being sold under the impression their real. We have stated in the item description that all our designs are inspired and unofficial. We do not lie to people. They know what they are buying. Now sometimes inspired designs can infringe on copyright and in any such case we would cease printing said design. Not really a case for trading standards.

Also there’s huge sellers of t shirts on eBay all with there company address and VAT numbers on display. Surely if there was a case for trading standards from day dot there wouldn’t be thousands of t shirt sellers with same business model still trading.

Iv used to have loads of this from legit sellers /companies. Not big ones but fairly sizable .I used to just stop selling the stuff cos i didnt want to lose my legit ebay account .It was only after that i found out that there copyrights were very weak... If only i had stealth back then

Just keep selling and ignore him i recessive letters like that for difrent item like 4-5 a week it is been 6 years no problem at all.

But he doesn't own many of the trademarks, he is fraudulently asking for money from who know how many people

He claimed I made a manic miner print for sale which I haven't so I will fight him but I have also spoken to the actual owner of the manic and he assures me he is taking legal action against him.

I have had what sounds like the same letter, has anyone had any actual follow up letters from Mr Wilcox solicitors? Or is it all letters from him?
I'm concerned this could escalate ....
I don't think any of my commodore T-shirts ever actually sold and have regardless taken it down from redbubble.

He’s trying it on with everyone mate. And if you haven’t sold any what could he take u to court for? Don’t break the silence and reply I haven’t and this arl twat has sent emails to all my accounts!!!

I have received a letter from Steve Wilcox (a physical letter to my home address, not an email), again demanding £1500. Ordinarily I think I would ignore it or attempt a resolution on my own, but the redbubble account was set up in my wife's name at the time so I don't want her dragged in to this. I'm going to get legal advice as I sold £38 worth of Commodore gear thinking the company was bust, I don't see how he can claim £1500 seems like extortion. Also my sales were prior to him obtaining the licensing. An invite to the Discord group would be appreciated: username: dunetepes #3867
