Using mobile sim USB dongle for PayPal
 

So if I get a Huawei 3G/21 Mbps Unlocked E3531 device can I just put a normal £1 Three PAYG sim in there (3p, 2p, 1p plan) ? I know I will need to top up with £10, but I guess I am asking if it needs to be a pure data sim or not ? It is only 3G but I presume this is fast enough just to log in to PP every few days and nothing else ?

Also I used Windows 10, what is the easiest way to shut off my normal broadband and activate mobile ? I presume just disable the PAYG USB device in Network Adapters and activate motherboard ethernet and then vice versa ?

What happens if I end up with a IP that has been PayPal banned already by someone else ? As I am guessing it is dynamic IP ?

I am stuck between going with a dedicated $10 IP with IPBurger or the mobile dongle route. I live in a 1 bar area for mobile signal, but perhaps that is just enough.

A 3G dongle is fast enough to manage your eBay account no problem. Three has a massive range of IPs too.

If your worried about ensuring your using the single connection then get into the habit of visit “what’s my IP” first before you start checking your eBay. And if you are managing more than one account you should also take a note of the IP address against the account.

If you are only looking after a single account it might be cheaper to use an IP from IP Burger

Thanks. Do you know if a normal PAYG SIM from Three will work ? Or does it have to be dedicated data ? They do a 3p, 2p, 1p tariff where it is 1p a MB.

You can pick a Three SIM card from any supermarket but you can’t use the 3 2 1 plan with it. You have to by a fixed data top up which starts at £10 for 1GB and lasts for 30 days

I can't see myself using 24gb even over 24 months.

Thats a good deal.

As a rule if you are only using the single for eBay sales daily you will hit 1GB per month usage
