Accidentally added debit card,

Hi Guys,

Ive recently setup a Stealth eBay and PayPal account, only thing I think I did wrong was I added the debit card which is associated with my new bank account (registered to my actual address) to the paypal account and then asked it to confirm the card (where it says it will make a small deposit with a code on which I will need to enter when I've checked my statement) I since realised I think I should have used a virtual one and removed it from the paypal account.

Does this matter? Is it doomed?

Apologies im a bit of a noob and recovering from surgery so Im a bit sloooower than normal.

Also the paypal page was being a right pain flagging page errors when I tried to verify my email address and add a bank account etc so I haven't got round to that yet.

B

Re: Accidentally added debit card,

I would remove all details from PayPal then set it aside and move on to another.
Better be safe than sorry.

If you're creating your accounts yourself then it shouldn't cost you much to let it off the hook.

Please take some time to go through the stealth guide.
Speedy recovery and well wishes.

Re: Accidentally added debit card,

Thanks - would it affect my ebay account too or just paypal?

Re: Accidentally added debit card,

That would be just the PayPal presuming you have not linked both. If you make another PayPal in a different name, you'd have to use the pair with mismatched names. Not a problem if any associated accounts have not been banned.
If you want to avoid all worries and the eBay account isn't a high limit one, then maybe you should ditch it.

Re: Accidentally added debit card,

How did you not realize when you was adding it you was typing your own address in for the billing details?

Quite a regrettable mistake. It happens.

Its not a guarantee to kill the account. You just won't be able to use that card any other paypal accounts.

Best using virtual cards/prepaid in future asda/tesco sell some £27.95
