I have Confirmed My Cards which is a credit card and a debit card. And it has not Confirmed Anything on the account. I was expecting it to confirm my address which it did not. Now I still have a receiving limit of £1700. Does anybody have any other ideas to confirm the Phone or address ?????

GreenBean 08-22-2009 08:34 AM

Did you do as what CaptainJack said in post 2?

captainjack1980 08-22-2009 12:00 PM

You need to go to the lift your limits link on the right hand side after you log in and see what you have left to do...

If nothing is showing and you account is showing as verified then you are all good.

Lifting the £1700 is for later.... that is the anti money laundering ceiling limit and Paypal will notify you when you are approaching it and what you need to do....

Cpt,

Can you expand on this for me. I have done everything required to lift limits eg bank account, confirmed VCC, phone verification but I have this limit on my stealth accounts (none of them have had any receiving transactions as yet). My main account does not have this limit but I did nothing to get it removed. Please explain what further info Paypal will ask for when the time comes.

Thanks.

AFAIK every account will be hit with this limit.

On my main account with real info (which I lost some time ago) I had to complete the standard laundry list to get past the limit. I uploaded a scan of my passport and a utility bill if I remember correctly.

On stealth accounts one has to be more creative obviously but it is not difficult to get the limit lifted.

I have 2 options of lifting this last limit. 1. Phone confirmation ( Which is impossible for me to do) 2. Post confirmation (Which I don't have an address to send too because this is a stealth account + it takes like 4 weeks to come , which I can't wait for) Does anybody have any other options?

As above, I did the phone confirmation successfully but it did not remove this limitation. I contacted Paypal and they said that I do not have any limits on the account???? Very strange.....

There are no other options to "confirm location" than what you have mentioned. What's the problem with getting a telephone number from a forwarding service??

captainjack1980 08-23-2009 12:41 PM

ringcentral (google it!).... get a virtual number with area code matching your address.... forward it to your mobile or home phone....

And away you go.

I've used email To SMS, SMS To email, bulk sms & SMS text messaging. Reliable, Award-Winning Solutions. . And it don't work. Can anybody else confirm this (ringcentral) acutely confirms the phone number location on paypal ?

Ebayorbust 08-24-2009 06:11 AM

I've not used Ring central but have read several threads where people have confirmed it works for PP.

I use Tamar Communications Geographic Numbers. They're not cheap as it's a min 12 month contract but they work a treat for both PP and Ebay.
