Order was cancelled but didn't get refund?? What can I do as very confused
 

Seller cancelled the order on EBAY but I didn't get a refund?? What shall I do as seller is ignoring my messages? will my paypal get limited if I open the dispute?

Possible that it takes a few days for the refund to go through. Happens to me when I receive refund and refund someone, based on cancellation.

This has been a huge pain in the rear for us. We have received two defects this past week because we could NOT refund a buyer from ebay or paypal.

It is a big problem recently.

What do you mean? Was there an error or something? I just refunded something 3 days ago based on a cancellation and it did take about 3 days for the refund to complete.

This is a glitch. Buyer Buys multiple items. USPS lost package(we know why and it was returned now, DUI arrest and truck impounded by police) It is a repeat buyer, was easier to refund and have him re-buy because of the case. Long story short, When you click "Cancel and refund" it cancel, but refund fails and says to go to paypal. On paypal, it says to go to ebay. Neither could answer.... so ebay gave the funds back, and we kept the paypal payment and ebay takes out of recovery method. Of course it was 2 defects. I am going to call in and see if I can get it removed. It was the first defect we have received on any accounts since 2016. Very annoying and not a big deal unless a glitch happens again.

Did the payment come out of your PayPal balance? If not does usually take a couple of days to clear back into your bank, again that varies with who you bank. If it was taken from your PayPal account balance then I would follow up with PayPal directly, you shouldn’t have any worries of being limited. In fact the seller has more of a chance of being limited...

Did you pay from your paypal balance or bank card?

How long has it been since the refund was initiated?

Yeah this have been a pain in the ass. We’ve got a deffect too. Refunds are automated but if that happens when by any reason you don’t have enough funds on your PP acc you need to do that manually. And you get none of notification for that.
As a buyer you can always ask eBay step in and help. Just try to do everything within eBay as a first option. If eBay can’t help then PP. But PP takes ages...

I would think that paypal would give a hard time to sellers not a buyer. so if you're a buyer, it should be that paypal goes easy on you.
