Ebay or a day job
 

So guys I've come to a dilemma, should I continue with ebay stealth or just get a day job?
Let me know your input, I'm sure the thought has crossed your mind.

It depends on how much money you make.
I haven't been working for less than a year but I'll start soon, after learning to sell on eBay it will give me extra income. I think it should be a secondary income and not a major one, with eBay nothing is guaranteed in the long run (imagine yourself 3 years from now).

If you are asking that question that means you are giving up. I would say these are not for you, go get a day job.

If you have ANY doubts then keep your day job or get one and continue doing ebay on the side until youre confident of your ability to make it your full time source of income.

ebay stealth will only become more stressful and difficult once adyen kicks in

You definitely need another source of income other than ebay to fall back on.

I have another business that isn't online selling which I can do full time if I wish.

Once you go back to the day job, you may realise working twice as hard just to work for yourself is worth it.

depends on what sort of profit you can make on ebay to be honest maybe open a website aswell to get more revenue i know i couldnt survive on ebay on its own so hence i have a website on top and with both of them i make a decent wage unfortunately my paypal account is suspended and i havent got my new payment portal in place till tommorow so i havent made much money in the last week but i still prefer it over a full time job

If you're asking the question then you're probably not doing as well as you would like. Everyone needs a back up plan

Ebay can be a hard job. It also can be extremely frustrating and it can cost you money at times. It also can make you rich. A lot of variables.

It depends,some like to work for themselves,they dont like a boss ,they dont mind working long hours with no overtime pay,7 days a week .
Most end up making less,after taking into consideration expenses- healthcare,overhead like home office,utilities,equipment,supplies,gas ,auto,insurance .repair,maintenance.
no one pays you for vacation,holidays,overtime,meal allowance,thankgiving turkey,box of chocolate for your birthday,discount on company goods .
You are jack of all trade,fix the printer,laptop,the ceiling fan,light bulb,take out the trash,you are the photographer,the buyer,the seller,the customer service,the mail room clerk,the IT dept,the accountant,the treasuer and the president.
if you like to do all these,and make less than minimum wage,then go ahead.
It helps if your house is paid for,you car is paid for and runs well,you are healthy and you dont mind working alone.
and you dont have a NAGGING Spouse !!!!!!!

I was in the same situation when I left school and decided to do it full time.

Turns out I am very lazy when I work for myself and it did not work out for me but that is just how I am. I feel I am a hard worker in general but when it comes to motivating myself it never worked out.

I do both at the moment, but have always said if I have a very good income then I will do eBay full time BUT I would have to see that it has been stable for at least 6 months - 1 year before I would do it.

If I were you, just get a day job for now and do eBay on the side until you are more confident in yourself. I think I attempted mine too early and too many factors went wrong for me but it is your call :)

Forget ebay, get yourself a skill set such as a builder or a software programmer and build that from skill set. In a few years you make enough cash that you no longer care about ebay and all of the hassles which comes from it. I used to think ebay was the real deal 10 years ago, but with all the provocations and hassel, it is seriously not worth it anymore, and when Adyen comes into play it will be finished for everyone.
