Can't set up New Stealth eBay Selling Account
 

Tried setting up new stealth account, account gets suspended within 15 minutes. Can't figure out why.

Tried 4 accounts over last few days, all suspended in super quick time.

1. New PayPal email added to a verified active PayPal Account.
2. Mac changed
3. Unique IP address for new account (Tethered via phone)
4. Brand new unused phone number for verification.
5. Account has own new profile on Windows
6. Stealth Name
7. Stealth address.

Do they check if names are correct for address?
Any ideas or tips guys?

maybe not your problem
ebay is hunting down new accounts recently
maybe they don't want too many new sellers for the heating up sale season.
happened before,wait a few weeks try again or slowly built maybe

Was the Paypal verified account previously used on another eBay account? Maybe they can link the email to the Paypal account.

Yes, it is a Verified Paypal account currently also used on another ebay account, with the new accounts email address added as an additional email address to the PP account.

. Adding that email creates an account link. MAC address does not need changing.

If I gather, “phone” means “mobile”, has the mobile been used before with suspended accounts?

So for eBay, changing MAC address does not matter?

1. I keep a list of IP addresses from my tethered mobile to make sure they dont use the same IP address.

2. If I use a real addresss, but stealth name is that where I can trip up? Wonder if they use the electrol roll?

3. Thought if I add new email address to an existing verified PP was OK. I have done this lots of times in the past with different ebay accounts going to the same main PP via different emails.

Racking my brain how and why the accounts gets shut down so quickly, the 2 main points I can think of is the PP or the name and address.

OK, so again set up another Stealth ebay account, this time with a brand new PP Account (PP account added brand new bank details but not added CC yet) Suspended in 30 mins with the message:

Your eBay account was suspended because recent account activity has raised serious security concerns. We've taken this precaution to protect our members while we make sure that the activity doesn't cause harm -- however unintentionally -- to the eBay Community.

You won't be able to use eBay in any way. This includes using another existing account or registering a new account.

Any outstanding selling fees are due immediately, and any amounts that you haven't previously disputed will be charged to the billing method currently on file.

always make sure you're not recycling accounts. I know even with a brand new PP you had same issue, but going forward just don't do it to avoid risking suspension.

Not necessary for eBay (nor Amazon to be fair).

Does your phone have ebay, paypal, gumtree apps? or has it ever done so?

Remember if it has, you're just linking it to the new accounts being created because the IP is being shared across the board.

Try eliminate the problem by using a USB data dongle stick, rather than a phone for tethering.

I see no mention of a new phone number, new email address etc.

If you're really struggling perhaps start from scratch. I mean read the stealth guide and/or buy an account from the forum.

Yes, I use new number & new email address for each new account created.
No, i dont have eBay, Amazon or Gumtree apps on phone.

Managed to open stealth accounts in past, no problems, thats why its so frustrating now. :tears::noidea:

Are you using the same browser throughout your user accounts? If so, they're linking. No need to worry about MAC address, but you could have linking between your user accounts. Windows 10 has a lot of Microsoft sharing software built in, very intrusive.

I have been using Chrome or Firefox on own profile in Windows 10 for that specific account only.

Wondering if its because email I use. Does'nt seem locical though.
Have been using emails from mail.com

Can they link between Different profiles on Windows 10?
Each account is on a different user profile on windows 10

Been using mail.com emails as its really quick to setup alias accounts within the same email.

OK, opened a new account this morning with outlook.com email and it is still active at the moment.

Maybe ebay dont like emails from mail.com?
I have accounts with emails from mail.com and they are OK, but all these new accounts opened with a mail.com account have just all been shot down.

Installing Windows 10 < 30 minutes
Removing crapware > 30 minutes.

I think their finest OSs are 3.1, 95, 98SE, XP and 7.
The rest were there to test our patience. :bounce:

OK, new account setup today with outlook email has also been suspended.
This one lasted 5 Hours.

Again with message:

Sometimes all it takes is a single mistake and you're account is linked and suspended.

You may be better off just buying an account off here, so you can get back to selling.

Alternatively, read the stealth guide with a fine comb to make sure you haven't missed anything. Anything! :thumb:
