Paypal saying I cant use this bank account
 

Hi guys

I received an email stating I cant use this bank account, which is my savers account connected to my stealth paypal.

The paypal email:
"Your bank has let us know that you can’t use your bank account ending in XXXX to fund PayPal payments. If you already have a card linked to your PayPal account, we’ll use it to fund your future payments."

Should I create a new savers account? Or can I use my revolut that is already attached, for withdrawals as well??

Both the savers account and paypal have the same name but different address. I thought paypal wont look into address when withdrawing funds.

Maybe it's the account type that doesn't allow for transfer of funds if it's a savings account. There is no mention about being unable to withdraw. I maybe wrong, but the idea of a bank account is to withdraw only. Paying fees on eBay can either be carried out via Paypal funds or a VCC.

The banks not releasing the funds to paypal because the address is different.

You should be able to withdraw funds from your paypal to the bank account fine though.

To fund purchases you need to use your paypal balance or a reloadable VCC.

Thank you and the person above, you guys made it clear.

Last question, is it a good idea to use Revolut to fund purchases or is it best not to attach any cards to fund purchases? Should I remove the revolut card if so or leave it as it is?

Remove Revolut, they can get funny about it. I use them here and there as an "emergency" card. But using them on a regular basis you might get permanently banned by them. ESPECIALLY if you withdraw to your revolut. It's a question of whether you want to take that risk.

To fund purchases just use your paypal balance and do click & collect.

Or buy £100 VCC's from the supermarket.

And to withdraw attach a proper high street bank account savers, current etc. Ideally from a bank you have a long term relationship with.

Everything i've told you has been said a lot of times already, just dig through old threads.

It is dangerous to fund PAYPAL from mismatch-name bank account. But safe to withdraw to your bank account mostly.
