Do you mean solicitor? 'Lawyer' means very little in the UK. What has losing a bank account got to do with ebay, that's easily managed.

So he was pulling our finger all along then ...

F*cks sake. This forum is a minefield, we have legit people trying to get back to selling but worst of all I easily forget it's full of dodgy people.

It was a geniune issue. My lawyer had sent out a complaints letter with proof of funds, and magically the branch manger contacted me.

They did request that I upgrade to a business account and restricted the amount of saving accounts I can make.

You might have got a CIFAS marker.

Try another EU bank while you can. This is not uncommon.

UK has some of the most poorly thought out laws when it comes to banking

I closed Lloyd account years ago. It seems they only have one main account.

Try to open accounts at Halifax. It works perfect for me.
