Default Awkward buyer/feedback situation

Good afternoon, just looking for advice on how to handle a situation with a buyer..

Sold an item for £25+ International standard postage (that's what he paid for)

Item hasn't arrived, assuming it's been misplaced in the post, buyer sends me messages claiming I didn't even send it, I refunded him and offered him a free replacement, buyer is still insisting I never sent the item because I didn't provide him with a tracking number (which he never paid for) I feel like a negative feed back will get left, would I have any chance of removing it?

Thanks in advance.

Ebay would not remove it if you ask,but I understand this forum can.
Buyer does not have to ask or pay extra for tracking, tracking protects the seller for item not received,

Send him a copy of the label, this MAY be enough for CS Reps if he leaves a neg to remove it.

He probably has recieved it, far less mail actually goes missing than whats 'claimed' for.

The issue is, what he actually writes, if its something entirely subjective, then you may have a chance to get it removed, if its objective its less likely. It also depends on the 'level' of your account...so many factors, but always try.

You shipped it without tracking?
If your account has over 20 positive,
Buyers aren’t going to care about feedback, the just want the cheapest price noticeable on eBay.

If they leave a negative feedback and just says it never arrived, (and you know it did)
Just write a reply to the feedback
“unsafe International sale, I gave FULL REFUND”
Something similar to that.

Ask a few buyers you recently sold to, to leave feedback and before you know it, the negative will be unnoticeable

These ideas are just similar to what I’d do in your situation.

Yeah I post my items international standard which doesn't include tracking, I think I'll need to rethink that in the future.

I have 97 positive and zero negative so far, assuming that'll change soon though.

Appreciate the replies.

Update; after sending the buyer a refund, he now claims I've overcharged for postage but the item has arrived? And says he won't leave a negative feedback.

Good news that he won't leave a negative feedback but he's clearly a scammer. I guess Ebay can't help me out here as the refund is already sent?

If he's lied about the parcel, then he may be lying about the feedback too!

eBay won't be able to charge the customer again, unless the customer re-sends the payment themselves.

Okay so I contacted Ebay, they can see from his messages he clearly has the money and the item, they suggested I sent him an invoice which I done, and if he doesn't pay to contact the police (which I probably wont bother doing) they also said if he leaves negative feedback I've to contact them to get it reviewed.

International is filled with scammers, due to how hard it is to return the item.
I made this thread to help people in your position: https://www.aspkin.com/forums/ebay-d...s-defects.html

Worth reading, I’ve been getting good at not getting defects, scamming the scammer, getting negatives removed, avoiding scammers, and decreasing overall returns.

I’m in the u.s. though,

Also make sure you block the buyer, so he doesn’t buy from you again.
I’ve made that mistake a long time ago in the past

When you have been in the game long enough you know when a buyer is nothing but issues. My advice would be to refund them and block them, and if your item gets returned to you that is the best possible outcome.

Refund and Block.
Block the paypal email too.
If they leave a neg report them on a live chat for all that weird stuff an then slip in they also left you bad feedback after you did everything they asked! A decent rep will remove it
