Can ebay name be different from linked paypal name?
 

I was wondering if ebay registered name can be different from linked paypal name. For example: ebay name is "John Doe" while paypal name is "Jane Anyname".

I have seen this work in the past (4 years ago) on a stealth eb + pp acct setup but in that instance both ebay and paypal registered names shared the same last names while the first names were different and they both lived separately at different addresses.

Any thoughts on the current state of play regarding this configuration?

If the pp and eb are already established and not likely to be subject to checks then add a new email address to pp first. then add it to eb. This should work ok as long as you don't draw any attention to the account.

i have used this method recently but as the others have said its better practice to stay with the same name

i've two accounts that is all different information in the paypal to the ebay.

Never been a problem thankfully.
