Is it safe to use paypal linked credit card outside of paypal?
 

Hi All

Have a stable stealth ‘Buyer Only’ ebay and paypal account and don’t what to mess anything up.

I can’t remember if it is safe to use the same credit card that is linked to my paypal for ebay purchases, for other purchases outside of paypal?

Is this a potential risk to a stable ‘Buyer Only’ ebay/paypal account? i.e. can paypal in anyway see card activity outside of paypal that may expose me?

PAypal wont even know ,only you and your cc issuer,unless you reach credit limits or report it stolen or past expiration date

I was pretty sure that was the case, but just couldn’t remember if I saw it quoted somewhere about avoiding doing this. Must of confused myself with another quote regards CCs and stealth paypal accounts.

Maybe I read somewhere to never link a new stealth paypal account to an existing CC that has already been used for other purchases. You should only link a brand new card that has never been used before for anything else – maybe this was more of a belt and braces safety statement to be sure the card had not been used on an old forgotten paypal or on some other online purchasing site like amazon, that may have been forgotten about?
