PayPal parting ways

Hi guys,

I have just got my PayPal suspended for no reason whatsoever.

I am very crusted as I have stock sitting here..

I have been running this account very well passed the docs check.

Since I built a strong ebay account, can I just add another PayPal and link to my eBay account?

Many have reported doing that.
If you do Id advise you to change the address on the ebay as well as the email and have them match the new paypal account's details.
Note that there will always be a chance of the two accounts being linked as a result of being attached to the same ebay.

Re: PayPal parting ways

Even if that was successful, recieving payments would get my new PayPal limited instantly surely?

As my items are high risk and high value

Adding in a new PP can work but its usually not a long term solution

Re: PayPal parting ways

It reallyy got me depressed today. I had it running smoothly for almost 6 months.

Now I have stock worth 3k and 1.8k stuck in my PayPal account.

This stealth game can really depress you mentally.

I don't know what to do now. Sigh.

Re: PayPal parting ways

Its why usually its best to run 4/5 accounts

It means when one gets limited, which does happen, you can transfer stock to the other accounts and then get a new account running without a blip

My tips to avoid this during recent months for UK paypal

1. never sell item price over 100 pounds each on a stealth
2. never leave that much balance in your paypal
3.any chance when you see a sudden hold from paypal ( the high risk blabla 7 days hold, not ebay hold).you stop all your sale immediately for a week and starting to withdraw the balance.this hold is a sign of personal review. I had 2 paypal parted ways in about 1-2 weeks after this thing comes up.

Patience is key in stealth. Don't let it get you down.

Do you have any idea at all why you got banned ? anything out of the ordinary before it got triggered ? learn from experience so it doesn't happen again.

For me it was a high value PURCHASE that triggered a text message to my phone that I didn't respond too that triggered the suspension. Otherwise I had a 99% seller metric with 100% feedback in the hundreds.

I am doing just what you are suggesting to do on one of my accounts but selling low risk, low value although the TOTAL can easily go in to the hundreds if customers decide to buy more than 1 item.

I'm hoping I can get a new paypal going this way. But also running a fresh ebay and fresh paypal in tandem so I have backups at all times.

Do it now. Time is everything. You get depressed because you don't have backups to fall back on and keep sales going.

Even if you buy tracked shipping labels on all the transactions ? What risk could there possibly be if you are shipping it within 24 hours fully tracked ? paypal are so difficult to understand sometimes.

I know it's hard, I know how you feel.

Go ahead and try putting another PP into your eBay. It's not a long term solution, but maybe you can do this while building more new accounts, so when this one goes bad completely, you'll have many more you can rely on.

Using the same information as the ebay account? Or should I use randomised data entry for the. PayPal account?

Thanks.

Yes that does helpful but this thing normally triggered on new account(less than 1 year old)after a sales wave day(eg sold triple amount in a day than usual) this is hard to avoid as ebay sale does sometimes go nutty in a day.so all you can do is stop the sale immediately and wait this flag go down meanwhile withdraw the balance.if you keep let the sales countinue and let them doing this hold there will be sure someone review the account and this team is an account killer I believe.very less chance to live especially this time of the year.:amen:

You're absolutely correct. It is usually not a quick fix and having other accounts as JamesNorth said is an absolute must.

Brilliant idea. I start slowly and withing a few months this is possible. I use 2d tracking and make sure to add these as soon as tracking shows "delivered" If it delivered on time. Tracking always come up in my communication with PayPal as it relates to account standing, etc.

Precisely, time lost can never be regained.

Re: PayPal parting ways

Just to confirm, i can attach a brand new PayPal account? Since the items I sell are high risk, I'm bound to get limited quickly.

I have no choice to start from fresh. I'll have to wait 90 days to start selling high risk again.. Back to sqaure one.

Re: PayPal parting ways

That's why you are meant to have a few stealths running. It's difficult to get a lot of stealths going in one go as every account takes a lot of work to establish.

But it pays for itself when you get suspended like you have. You wouldn't even care because you would of had backups.

Re: PayPal parting ways

The fact that I have built the ebay so well with 74 feedback and 100% feedback really frustates me.

Im guessing it isn't worth attaching a new PayPal account with the existing eBay account that has no problems..

I'd suggest you setup a few fresh accounts, and build them up from scratch. If one gets suspended again down the line, you'll have the others to fall back on.

By starting from scratch, as oppose to recycling previously suspended accounts, you can rest assure that you're unlikely to wake up to find you've been suspended again.

Thank you for your advice, I have appealed the decision so hoping they will consider a restoration but I am not replying on it.

Aa you mentioned, i will make a few accounts and run it smoothly.
