TNT asking for EROI number - First time
 

I've received some goods from China last week, the value was about $100 USD.

Today I received a phone call from TNT asking me for an EROI number. Its the first time I've been asked for one.

I am a private individual and don't have an EROI number, but the guy from TNT said I will need one.

Is this correct? That I would need one even if I am a private individual?

Also, I would have thought that if they needed this information, they would have requested it before delivery. I have received the goods about 1 week ago.

We've been getting this more and more, had a long battle with TNT who eventually said I didn't need one and it was their mistake.

We have an EROI number anyway which we did give them, but still.

TNT are a nightmare for it, have been for years.

Switch to DHL and pay the extra for the service and far less hassle.
